
Our Story...
We are proud and honored to bring back the Miss Moxie Pageant which was held in June of 2019, the first since the early 1990's when it was a staple of the Moxie Festival. The Miss Moxie Pageant is an inclusive outlet for all females to gain confidence, friendship, and be celebrated for all of their unique attributes. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or first time pageant contestant, you are welcomed into our family the moment you register. We encourage and inspire women and girls of all ages to be the very best version of themselves. We empower others by showcasing the beauty inside our minds and our hearts.
We are an official preliminary pageant for the Maine's Harvest Miss Pageant which is one of 12 preliminary pageants to the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant! The Miss Moxie Pageant provides a unique opportunity to compete just for fun, participate in local Moxie weekend Festivities, promote local businesses during special occasions and festivities but also have opportunity to continue on and compete at the Maine's Harvest Miss pageant the first step towards the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant who's State titleholder move onto compete at the USA National Miss Pageant held the past 2 years at the Dolphin Resort at Walt Disney World.
The pageant Titleholders promote an anti-bullying platform named "The Crown C.A.R.E.S. (Creating A Respectful Environment in Schools) and works with Unite Against Bullying ME.org to educate others. Our titleholders are trained and available to make appearances to promote the platform by reading to school-aged children, talking about preventing bullying, and also to help promote local businesses especially during special occasions or festivities.

About the directors-
Rachel Torrey works as a Support Analyst at a software company in Falmouth. She has been the Assistant Director of the Miss Moxie Pageant for the past 2 years, has judged various pageants across the State and manages her daughters pageant and modeling career. She holds a in Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Associate of Science Degree in Business Management, Certificates in Fashion Merchandising, Computer Programming and Banking. She is the Co-Founder of Kid's Speak a platform started by her daughter in 2016 where kid's can go to talk about anything that affects them. Rachel loves spending time with her husband of 25+ years and beautiful, caring, naturally funny 12 year old daughter.
Alison Lee is a graduate of Shippensburg University (Pennsylvania) and Thomas College (Maine.) She started competing in pageants at age 30, and has held several local titles before placing second runner-up for Ms. Maine AWOS and eventually earning the title of National Ms. AWOS 2019. She was an assistant director for two years before becoming a head director, and outside of pageants, works as a teacher and a novelist.
Berkeley Nappi LCPC, LADC. Berkeley is the former Miss Maine International 2009 and was fourth runner up at Miss International. She is the former pageant director of the Maine Sweetheart pageant. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She works as a clinical consultant and psychotherapist where she provides individuals and organizations with psychotherapy, case consultation, cumulative stress reduction, critical incident stress management, psycho-education, and continuing education trainings. Outside of her work Berkeley is a proud wife and mother of two free spirited, hilarious, and confident young girls.
